Join us on a tour of the former Rhode Island Medical Society building (c. 1912), newly transformed into a modern corporate office center for the Moran Shipping Agency deep in the heart of Providence. A significant aspect of the project was the integration of sustainable design principles with those of historic preservation. Not only were stringent standards adhered to as determined by the Secretary of the Interior for historic structures, but the project is also designed to the US Green Building Council LEED standard. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a nationally recognized green building rating system for high performance buildings.

Join us on a tour of the magnificent new Blue Cross & Blue Shield of RI corporate headquarters at Waterplace Park in downtown Providence. The 13-story urban infill structure now houses 1100 employees relocated from 6 different buildings across the city. Special features include a rainwater harvesting system, green roof, the use of recycled materials and various indoor air quality measures to improve occupant health and productivity right down to the furniture.
